Using the Unsaturated SAPUsing the SAP in its dry form will require the planted area to be irrigated after the SAP has been incorporated. For best results it is advisable to incorporate the SAP into the soil with a mixture of fertiliser to increase permeability. As SAP will increase in size after irrigation, it is advised to apply the SAP sparingly throughout the planted area. Using the SAP as a Hydrogel.The polymer is required to be soaked and wetted before implementation to create hydrogel. 1 kg of the polymer can absorb up to 350L of deionised water or 150L of tap water. After soaking the polymer for around 3-4 hours, the hydrogel can be applied to the field through trenching or ploughing, prior to planting.
